Primary students develop the\u00a0academic language skills and content knowledge they need to get an education in English.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The program uses\u00a0National Geographic science and social studies content and authentic literature<\/strong>\u00a0to build content knowledge and develop English literacy through enquiry-based learning. Students work with the content to develop\u00a0critical-thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills\u00a0<\/strong>needed to succeed in their academic studies.<\/p>\n

Reach Higher<\/em>\u00a0provides students with the skills and strategies to\u00a0understand stories and literature, and to work with more complex texts<\/strong>\u00a0that include facts and background knowledge in the subject areas of science and social studies.<\/p>\n

Reach Higher<\/em>\u00a0teaches the language students need\u00a0\u2013 vocabulary, phonics, reading, writing, and conversations\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 to work with authentic academic content in English.<\/p>\n
